There was no structural damage--just inflamed cartilage. After a few weeks my knee returned to good health and I was able to start running again pain-free. These things just happen sometimes in 100s....

WyattWyatt Hornsbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14224514798393011001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979545333979747089.post-62615016262726083722012-11-28T19:46:18.125-07:002012-11-28T19:46:18.125-07:00first time reader here and I love your blog! good ...first time reader here and I love your blog! good stuff man. Hopefully next year will be my first LT100 so I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts. What happened to your knee?? I think I am finally over a medial meniscus tear but am not even sure if I should run again. would be nice to know someone else has had the same thing or worse and started running again. thoughts?
cheersJess Twardzikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07027242595593610910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979545333979747089.post-35595202894263475162012-11-20T14:21:51.883-07:002012-11-20T14:21:51.883-07:00Volume shmolume. I think you should have confidence that you are right on track.Bretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02376446409534942024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979545333979747089.post-73907090553955473792012-11-20T10:14:12.259-07:002012-11-20T10:14:12.259-07:00GZ: Well, I wish I could answer that question with...GZ: Well, I wish I could answer that question with glowing optimism, but I seem to have tweaked my right foot (what else is new?). I didn't worry much about it at first but this morning it got my attention. I suspect a case of metatarsalgia--I'm showing all the classic signs. I'm hoping to "run through" it but who knows. Today I'm going to try to get some metatarsal pads. Anyway, if all goes well, my goals are A) a 2:55 or better and B) sub three hours. I really want to go back to Boston in 2014. I've broken three hours three times already, but it would still feel good even if I crossed the finish line in 2:59:59.

WyattWyatt Hornsbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14224514798393011001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979545333979747089.post-27377280574720146642012-11-20T09:20:57.632-07:002012-11-20T09:20:57.632-07:00A-B and C goals for PHX?A-B and C goals for PHX?GZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12623054918799881730noreply@blogger.com
